Deleting your data
Last updated: September 20, 2026
This is a courtesy translation. If the two versions differ, the Portuguese one prevails.
In short: write to washelitemadeira@gmail.com asking us to delete your data. You do not have to give a reason and it costs you nothing. We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
1. What you can ask us to delete
Everything we hold about you. In practice that usually means:
- The quote request you sent us, with the address and any photos attached.
- Your contact details — name, phone and email.
- The conversations we had with you, including messages received through Instagram, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.
- The history of services, quotes and bookings.
2. How to ask
By whichever of these suits you best:
- Email: washelitemadeira@gmail.com
- WhatsApp: +351 936 824 507
- Phone: +351 936 824 507
Just tell us the name and the contact detail you used with us, so we can find your record. If you wrote to us on Instagram or Facebook, the username of that account is enough.
You may have to confirm it really is you. We do that as simply as possible — for example, by your replying from the same email address or the same number you contacted us from.
3. What happens next
- We confirm we received the request.
- We delete the data from our systems and from our management app.
- We tell you when it is done, with the date.
The maximum period is 30 days, under the General Data Protection Regulation. In practice we usually deal with it within a few days.
4. What we are required to keep
There is one exception, imposed by law and not by us: invoices and accounting documents have to be kept for 10 years. In those cases we delete everything else and keep only what tax law requires, without using it for anything else.
5. Deleting on Meta's side
This page is about the data held by us. The conversations are also stored in Meta's apps — Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp — and those are deleted on their side, in each app's settings. Deleting there does not delete here, and deleting here does not delete there; they are separate records.
6. If you are not satisfied
You can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD). But talk to us first — it gets sorted out faster.
