Clean windows change a whole house — and in few places does that show as much as in a house looking out to sea. The problem in Madeira is the salt: it leaves a film that comes back quickly if it is not taken off properly.
We use a professional squeegee and demineralised water wherever tap water would dry into limescale marks. That is the difference between a window that has been "washed" and one you forget is there.

Do you do upper floors from the outside?
We do whatever a telescopic pole reaches safely. Work at height with rope access or a platform needs a specialist firm — and we tell you that plainly rather than take the risk.
How often is it worth doing?
Close to the sea, every two or three months. Further inland, twice a year is usually enough.
